Detroit Free Press: Michigan earmarks $500,000 for arriving Afghans
Michigan has allocated $500,000 to help house about 1,300 Afghans expected to arrive in the state. The funds will be used for temporary housing until resettlement agencies can provide permanent housing. The state has also set up a new website that the public can use for donations and to volunteer.
