Mr. El-Bahesh is an Alabama native, raised in Guntersville. He earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his Juris Doctor from Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee. During law school, he was active in the Immigration Law Society and worked with Catholic Charities of East Tennessee, assisting with humanitarian visas for victims of trafficking and other serious crimes.
Mr. El-Bahesh began his legal career in Chicago, Illinois, gaining experience at immigration law firms before opening his own successful practice and eventually returning to Alabama to bring his expertise to Shabani & Associates, P.C. He has represented clients in immigration courts across the United States and has extensive experience in family-based immigration and removal defense. He also has significant experience handling complex investor visa matters, such as EB-5 and E-2 visas, as well as employment-based petitions, including EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) cases.
Mr. El-Bahesh is admitted to the Illinois Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. El-Bahesh is a member of the American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Arab American Bar Association of Illinois, Chicago Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.
