Reuters: Judge allows challenge to arrests made by private ICE contractor
A federal judge denied a bid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to dismiss a claim that its use of a private contractor to make immigration arrests violates federal law. The judge said it is unclear whether ICE is following federal policy that only immigration officials can make arrests.
