Arizona Republic: Understanding Title 42 and its effect on Arizona
Title 42 allows prohibition of non-citizens into the United States for public health reasons. It has rolled out differently in different Arizona Border Patrol sectors. In the Tucson sector, 80 percent of encounters ended in expulsion. In the Yuma sector, there were fewer expulsions, mainly due to the nationality of the migrants.
