TPS for Afghanistan
On March 16, 2022, the Department of Homeland Security, or DHS, announced a new 18-month designation of Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, for Afghanistan that will become effective upon publication of an upcoming Federal Register Notice, or FRN. Individuals newly eligible for TPS under the Afghanistan designation must have continuously resided in the United States since March 15, 2022.

IMPORTANT: Beware of fraud! The registration period for Afghanistan is not open until the Federal Register Notice is published. CLINIC will provide additional information and analysis at that time.
