CBS: Aunt works to get Ukrainian nephew out of immigration detention
A 14-year-old was taken from Ukraine by his aunt who lives in the United States. Immigration officials in San Diego said the teen had to be held for two to three days to do a background check and verify the relationship. But later they said it would take 20-30 days. The aunt considered this too long and cruel and hired a lawyer.
